Academia nacional de arte de Gran Bretaña.

Fundada en 1768 por Jorge III, su primer presidente (1768–92) fue Sir Joshua Reynolds. El número de miembros elegidos por otros miembros y socios está fijado en 40; sus nombres suelen ir seguidos de las iniciales R.A. ("Royal Academician: académico real). Sus galerías albergan obras de miembros anteriores como Thomas Gainsborough y J.M.W. Turner. En 1991, la academia abrió una nueva ala, las Sackler Galleries.
